Wednesday Weirdness

Man, I'm done with this holiday break. Yesterday I realised that it would be New Year's Eve today!

So the first week of my break has been terrible. From being sick myself, to taking care of the other family members (they also got that grr virus), to visiting Grams in the hospital. She's totally gone. She has a lot of things that are wrong. And she also has delier, which means that she's sort of delirious. She's talking to dead family members and saying that the Queen has come to see her.

I've done half of my schoolwork. Blegh what idiotic assignments. I had to check if an airline was charging too much or too little (it was too little). I had to know how far the destinations were in nautical miles. Then I had to calculate the kilograms of the fuel needed. Then I had to calculate how many kilo is in cubic things (liter, gallon, barrel). I had to know how much an airplane costs, the maintenance, landing fee, ground handling fee. And much much more. All a bitch to find out.

But I could not not participate in Wednesday Weirdness, so here we go.

1.) Have you ever stolen anything from a relatives house?
Nope. I'm a little angel.

2.) If you had to changed lives with a friend from your real life for a day, which would you choose and why?
I wouldn't. I love my friends but I won't want to be them.

3.) Name at least one place where you would never have sex.
In front of other people.

4.) If you could change one personality trait in you significant other, what would you change and why?
I have no SO.

5.) How important is the mood and setting to you when it comes to sex? (Do you need certain things to set the mood to really enjoy it, etc)
Not that important, it's about the person you're with and how you are feeling.

6.) Which is worse, bad sex or no sex? Why?
Bad sex. With both (bad sex and no sex) you can always play with yourself. But when you have bad sex, you also have to endure the bad sex.

7.) On a scale of 0 to 10, how much of a compulsive spender would you say you are?

8.) Have you ever left a restaurant without paying the bill? Why?
Not without paying. We've left with paying too little.
I think I'd already told you this story but here we go again.
I was shopping with my American family in Amsterdam. Then we go to the Kalvertoren for dinner. We first wanted something to drink, while we waited for my dad and younger brother to show up (our company is located in Amsterdam). It took them a long time before they even came to us to take our order. Then when I asked if it was possible that we would have dinner here, she had to ask the cook if that was possible. It was 6pm.
Then when we wanted more drinks, it took 30 minutes before the girl showed up. If it was busy okay, but we were the only ones there, except for some of her friends who she was talking with.
When my dad and brother showed up, they were puzzled how we were going to sit with 7 people at a 4 persons table. about pulling up another table? So then we order. That's difficult. When I ask for ketchup and mayonaise, she pulls out her electric notepad thingy up to her face and asks how many do you want, like a volture hungry for money.
Then it takes another very long time to get us new drinks and dinner.
My dad parted in the city, which is very expensive. So he only had a few minutes left and my aunt wanted to ride with them instead of walking and train. So we ask for the bill. Since the service was so bad, I'm always sure to check if everything went right. My aunt didn't let me but I saw the total around € 50. My aunt paid fast and we left in a hurry to be on time for the parking ticket to end. In the streets I checked the bill it was around € 50. And we had only paid for a few drinks and the mayonaise and ketchup. I think we had a total of 20 drinks and 7 dinners plus of course the ketchup and mayonaise.
They served us so bad because they thought we were just some tourists and won't return. We didn't go back to correct them because we would never return.

stupid hospital

The reason grams was so sick was because when she got her blood transfusion, she got a virus that wss going around in that department.
Now she's back to the hospital because was almost dehydrated. Since every fluid that entered her little body came right back out.

The worst thing, my grandpa, mom and I got the virus too.

For me it started last evening after dinner. my mom started when I stopped. Although my whole body hurts like hell (if having kids hurts more, I'm adopting) nothing is leaving my body involuntary.

And how where your christmases?

Secret Santa, Wednesday Weirdness and more

Yeej I did it. I didn't check all the blogs before I started schoolwork. I did my schoolwork and then started the blogs (well...actually first writing one before reading the others).

I'm very behind on my schoolwork so I have to do stuff during Christmas. But I have a valid not so fun excuse for slacking. On Mondaymorning I've been to our local swimming pool with my cousins, it was fun but exhausting since those kids need to be kept an eye on at all times. I was supposed to do some shopping in the afternoon but when I came home from the swimming pool, my mom was waiting for me so that we could go to the hospital. My grandpa called a few minutes before that my grandma was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Ouch. She was feeling horrible, she was not sick but very tired and she couldn't stand on her legs. The doctor couldn't measure her bloodpressure (she wanted to but there was no pressure according to her measuring thingy).
At the hospital they did some tests and found out that her hp value (iron) was 3. A normal person has a hp value between 6-8 and under 5 you get a blood transfusion. After the holidays we are demanding that my grams doctor explains why the bleep her blood was that low. We didn't know that the doctor had taken her off her iron pills and the last time they checked her iron it was 5,7 that was in Nov. So why has the doctor stopped the pills? And not checked her blood in over a month? Grrr.
Grandma got home yesterday, after having 3 bags of blood.
But today has been blegh. She was feeling okay, but after lunch everything went wrong. She's been throwing up ever since and halfway through she also got diarrea (no idea if I spelled it right). I think this is going to be her last Christmas, if she even makes it that far. Poor grams.

My Secret Santa commented on my previous post that I should check my mail. Sorry Secret Santa but there's nothing there. I've even checked my junkmail but nothing there.

I'm wishing you a Very Merry Christmas. As do the people who make and play Wednesday Weirdness.

We donated our turkey to good will (or uncle took his and ours to give to the poor). Then we have the cancer foundation as well as the heart foundation.
I always want to do more but I don't have the time, and there are no resources. I have to check a few people if they know more because it's not like I can volunteer for handing out food for the poor.
I've donated most of my magazines (mostly cosmo's) to an art class. And the rest of my mags went to girls who didn't have the money to buy them themselves but really wanted to read them (even though they are over a year old). But I had a lot of those, if I had to estimate the value, it was probably around 400 euros. And I wanted to get rid of them and why not give them away for free if you are going to put them in the trash otherwise.

Nope. I still wish I was a kid sometimes. Then it wouldn't be so embarrassing to watch kids movies (disney animated, high school musical). Ow and I would love to play with my barbies again ;).

We didn't have Santa passing by, but Saint Nicolas. However we always did do christmas presents. For St. Nicks horse I've left carrots or hey or an apple. I've made drawings for St. Nicolas or Zwarte Piet (Black Pete/St. Nicks helper). I've never caught my parents. And was really upset when they told me he didn't exists. But I realised soon that it was strange to believe that he was real, the guy is over 300 years old.

Nope. When we were little we saw each other quite a lot at grams or granda and grandpa, but now we only see each other at birthdays and not even every birthday. If they were people I saw on a weekly basis I think one or two would be in my circle of friends. But we sooooo differ in personality, it just doesn't work. Even at birthday parties we are done talking after a few minutes.
The young cousins I babysit I see a lot but I don't know if I would be friends with them if I was their age and be in their class, probably I will, but hey almost all kiddies are friends.

I have awkward moments all the time but right now, I can't think of one.

A new laptop would be cool since this one is slowly dying (we've already celebrated its 4th birthday a while ago).

When family stay with us during the christmas break, they stay for 2 weeks and I am sharing my bedroom with my brother (my cousins sleep in my brother's room). And there isn't even room for a boyfriend, if there is one, to sleep. So no sex.

8.) DO YOU HAVE ANY TRADITIONS FOR THE HOLIDAYS? (ie opening one gift Christmas Eve and saving the rest for Christmas Day, opening them all Christmas Eve, listening to a particular holiday CD while opening gifts, preparing a special breakfast, ETC)
We celebrate Christmas Eve with presents and snacks. Then my brother and dad go to church for mas, while my mom and I get in bed with a movie.
This year my brother's girlfriend will watch the movie with us, which means that we will be watching the movie in the living room. We've got Drillbit Taylor for the whole family to watch, and then when the boys leave the girls'll watch Penelope.

Something sex-tinted from my parents. That's just too wrong.

Books. The authors I read and like, I have most of their books. I've got all the Harry Potter books, the Faerie Wars. Trying to get all Twilight books and the Host. My parents got me 3&4 when they visited the States in Sept, since they are heavy and I'd already read 1&2 when my cousin had em with him last year.
I'm trying to get all Meg Cabot books, including the childrens books. I've read the princess diaries since I was little, and the story keeps going, so I keep reading. And I've got all the Sophie Kinsella books, even though Becky from Shopaholic annoys me (I can't understand that she just doesn't learn that she needs to stop spending money).
And I sort of collect stuffed animals. When I was little I really collected them but now I get one every few years (or when I visit a disney store or see a very very cute one).

Christmas shopping & Secret Santa

Yesterday was the retake of my Spanish exam. Wow! Can the exams always be this easy?
The first excersise was the match the sentence with the word, both were given! I mean previously we had 5 words and had to cross the one who didn't match out and tell why we crossed that one out. All in Spanish of course. But this was so much easier. If you had the sentences and you had to fill in the word, okay that would be doable but I had 10 sentenes and 12 words. What is the money you get on a regular basis for work. Euhm....salary? And what does the doctor give you when you need medicine, euhm..a receipt? Too easy.

The writing question was the same. I didn't have to make that one but since it was the best version counts, I made it anyway since I've looked up some words that I didn't know during the last exam. I was back in the train an hour later.

Than I did my christmas shopping in one hour. Yeej. On Thursday the stores are open till 9 instead of 6. So people who need to do shopping go after dinner because the stores are open anyway. This means that while everyone else is eating, I was doing my shopping. I've visited all the stores, and only had to wait in line for 2 persons for the register. And luckily I got everything I needed so I don't have to go back.

Today I posted my secret santa card. After I posted it I remembered that I still had to write the country on it. So I'm sorry, but I think my card will be a tad too late.

Random Wednesday Weirdness

Yesterday I had my last spanish exam. Or so I thought. At the back where the answers to the closed questions. This means that we have to do the exam again.

Time for Wednesday Weirdness
Wanna play?

1. What is the one sexual act you would never do?
I don't know how you call it in English, but I'm not a fan of the beating and whips and those things.

2. Is there anyone you know, that if they turned out to be a serial killer you would not be surprised?
I don't know. I think some of my dads former employees. They are low educated and already deal in illegal stuff.

3. What is the most annoying thing about the holiday season for you?
Being obligated to be polite and jolly. I do love Christmas but I can only handle so much family. Friends are okay.

4. If you saw a video of your celebrity crush picking their nose, would that change your opinion of your hotness?
I don't know. Everyone has its faults.

5. What is the one non-sexual thing you would be embarrassed to be caught doing?
Shoplifting. But I won't get caught since I don't do it.

6. A favorite blogger friend wrote a column about the one word that really turns her on. Do you have a word or phrase that does the same for you? What is it?
No, I don't have one.

7. As someone who ran a virtual cookie exchange, I have to ask what your favorite cookie is?
I just love chocolate chip cookies.

Wednesday Weirdness

I had one of my spanish written exams today. And I was horrified beforehand, I'm relaxed now. Normally I learn stuff and they ask you all the things you forgot or just didn't study because they didn't seem important. So I was dreading that spanish would be like this. But even though the questions about the text were hard. (I got what the text was about, I just didn't get the questions.) The text I had to write at the end was easy. I think I still made a lot of mistakes but a spanish person would have understood me.

So on to Wednesday Weirdness
1.) Do you get along with your significant other's parents? If you've never met their parents or if you're single, how did you usually get along with former SO's parents?
I'm their dream daughter-in-law, lol. Parents of a friend still hate me because I broke their other son's heart. All the other girlfriends of their sons or boyfriends of their daughters are okay. But they still hate me. Guess I broke their heart as well.
Parents of other SO's liked me as well. But some of them don't even know I dated their son. And since I'm still friends with most of my former SO's, their parents never found out that we've dated because of the still friends part.

BTW talking about SO's 3x wants his 5th chance. I told him no because he had his fourth chance and he wasted it. And doing his best and stuff wouldn't work this time. The last thing I heard from him (after texting non stop for 4 hours, the last text I got was at 3pm) was that he was thinking about a proposal that would work for both of us. But it will never work since we both want to be in control. And he will not live upto the expectations he sets for himself for me.

2.) Have you ever stolen a tip from a table while eating at a restaurant? If you saw someone doing this, would you speak up or pretend you never saw anything?
I've never done this but if I would ever see someone do it, it would depend on the waitress/waiter. If the waitress/waiter was an ass, I would keep my mouth shut but if they would be really friendly and give good service, and the price of the restaurant would be good (like not ask €5 for a small coke), I would say something.

3.) Do you have any sexual fantasies that you’d never admit to anyone?
Maybe, maybe not who knows?

4.) What smells do you find comforting?
The smell of a pet store. We used to have a pet store and me and my brother would climb on the stacks of dog food. And I was one of the few persons allowed to hold the rabbits and guinea pigs.
The smell of home. Just because it's home and that's (at the moment) where my mom and dad are.

5.) Do you ever resent your significant other for not earning more money? Do you ever find yourself jealous because your SO earns more money than you?
It would all depend on everything. Hopefully I won't. And I think that I will find someone in my own league, so he will have about the same sort of position. That would mean that he would earn more since he's a guy and all. And I maybe would be envious but that wouldn't be for his salary but more for the unjustice of women earning less than men in the same position.

6.) If you had to wear a Halloween costume for 3 hours a day, ever day, for the rest of your life, which would it be and why?
I would be an angel. For those 3 hours a day I would go to hospitals for the sick people to visit, or to the senior homes and visit the ones who don't have family left to visit them. I would do something good.

7.) Have you ever had sex with someone and kept a piece of their undergarments or anything else for any reason? Have you ever had someone want or try to keep something of yours?
I never even felt like keeping stuff from them. And I hope no one ever took mine (I haven't noticed anything missing so far), it sort of grosses me out.

Complaint & Wednesday Weirdness

I just filed my complaint for the placement office. Shocking right?!
Yesterday I went by to make sure that the lady had sent my letter on Monday. And then I told the girls who were there that I wasn't happy with how the other one handled it, especially when one of them (who was there yesterday) said that she would do it, and then didn't.
And I told them that if I arranged a placement by myself, the same they offer, I get money and if I play everything via them, I don't get anything. And then we started talking. They think that I don't have the right attitude for my placement. Well...all my favourites are gone and I need a placement so I go for the city and not the company because all the companies don't interest me. She said You tried your favourites, you failed, so apparently you need something else. Like it was MY fault that their database is outdated. So I replied that the contacts they gave me bounced. And then she said that she would talk with the other lady (the one who annoys me).

Today I walk in. It's a Wednesday, I know they are closed. But if I walk in on Friday, they're not there. So they told me that eventhough they are closed before 12 and on Wednesday, that if I have a question I could walk in. Ow my god....that was the final straw. I walked in. And the two who would discuss me (the lady of yesterday and the annoying lady) are there. And they bark WE ARE CLOSED TODAY! I politely say that I just had a question. They bark again WE ARE CLOSED TODAY, NO QUESTIONS. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS COME BACK TOMORROW OR E-MAIL. I'm not overreacting. Me and my friend looked at each other, and got the hell out. It's that I need to go back, but otherwise I would never ever set a foot in that place.

I immediately went to my tutor to ask who I needed to address for my complaint about the placement office. He didn't know but he knew someone that coordinates our placements. So I contacted him and he said that he would like it in writing. I filled almost 2 pages with my complaints. And I'm going to talk to him on Friday, since I'm off tomorrow. Hope that finally something positives comes out of that.

But on to Wednesday Weirdness.

1.) If you knew one of your close friends was cheating on their significant other, would you get involved? (EX: Tell their SO, try to talk to your friend about it, etc) Why or why not?
I would try to talk to my friend. Saying that if she is unhappy in her current relationship that she needs to end things. But I don't see my friends cheat.
Except for 3x but he's a lost cause.

2.) If your SO was cheating on you and one of your close friends knew, would you want them to tell you? Why or why not?
Yes. You need to be able to trust your friends that they tell you the truth. And of course first you shoot the messenger. But wouldn't you want to know? If your friend doesn't tell you the truth, she's betraying you as well as your SO.

3.) Have you ever stuffed your bra or underwear to make the size of your breasts or penis seem larger?
I sometimes were a push up bra, but that's just because the shirt fits better.

4.) Would you sleep with a friend's significant other behind their back if it were guaranteed you'd never be caught?
Nope! 1) I wouldn't betray my friends like that. 2) I'm really not into their SO's.

5.) Do you think you are more intelligent than your significant other?
I'm not quite sure if I'm more intelligent than my last bf. But I know I was more intelligent than the other exes. And regarding the last bf, he was a social retard, so I get the intelligence points on that subject :P.

6.) Do you ever fantasize about cheating on your significant other? Are you ever tempted to really go through with it?
I've fantasized about doing it with a brother of one of my exes while I was still dating him. But that was just a sign that I had to break up. Because even the brother was yucky.
I don't think I'll ever be tempted to cheat on my SO. Although there are exemptions, like you're get out of jail free card, I can't name a celebrity I want to do, but my SO would be cleared if you could do his fave celeb.

7.) Have you ever had cyber sex, text sex or phone sex with someone other than your significant other during a relationship?
No, no, no. And I haven't done those things with the person I was in a relationship with.

8.) Would you cheat on your significant other twice monthly for half a year to have all your debt permanently erased?
No. But that's easy because I don't do debt. If I would have millions of debt and cleared of everything including mortgage, maybe I would do it but first discuss it with SO.

There was a bonus question but that one wasn't interesting enough to answer.

70 Confessions

I'm being a copycat right now (check out Lost in Georgia). But I just felt like confessing :P.

1. Who was the last person to call you baby?
Since I still live at home, it was my mom calling me for dinner. The last time it was said in a 'romantic' sense it was by 3x a charm a few months ago.

2. When shopping at the grocery store, do you return your cart?
Yes, why not? It would be annoying if people just left them near their car. The parkinglot would become a survival track.
On a side note: you can drive anyway you want in parkinglots in the Netherlands and they are not that big.

3. Are You Single, or taken?
Definitely single!

4. Has someone ever sang a song to you?
Unfortunately yes, but it was very painful since he couldn't hold a note.

5. Do you play Sudoku?
Not anymore. I finish them too quickly. And when you give me a difficult one (one with the cubis or 12-in-1) and I haven't finished it within a hour, I'm done with the thing and leave it for in the train.

6. If abandoned alone in the wilderness would you survive?
Not even when my life depended on it. I'm not creative and will be afraid to eat anything I don't know (thinking that it will contain poison and kill me).

Lets just jump from question 6 to 18 since the inbetween is missing.

18. If your house was on fire, what would be the first thing you would do?
Get the hell out of the house, of course taking some important stuff with me, and dial 112 (our 911).

19. Who was the last person you shared a bed with?
In what way? Just in bed, or "in" bed?
The last time I was just in bed with a different person, it was my 4 year old cousin who I babysit. She couldn't sleep and I was tired. So we cuddled up.
Since I'm not in favour of one nights stands and have intimacy issues the "in" bed person was my ex about a year ago.

20. Who do you text the most?
My projectmembers for school.

21. Who last said they loved you?
My cousins yesterday. The 4 year old and her sister (7 years).

22. What color are your eyes?
Hazelnut brown (with a green lining).

23. How tall are you?
The average size of women all over the world. 1.67m or 5'6"

Another missing question. Didn't someone just like the sound of 70? And then when coming up with questions it missed a few so it just renumbered everything?

25. Do you like your parents?
I love them to death, but sometimes they just grrrr.

26. Do you secretly like someone?
No, I don't like someone secretly. Yes I like 3x a charm but that's not really secret. Although he makes me think of the Aly & AJ song If I could have you back

If I could have you back again
I'd think about it once or twice, I guess
If I could have you back
I'd reconsider, maybe I'd say yes
On the other hand it would be
Better to have a life
Without the constant indecision over

27. Why did your last relationship end?

28. Who was the last person you said you loved on the phone?
I don't tell people I love them over the phone.

29. Favorite ex? am I going to name him here? I have one ex that I'm in close contact with. He cheated on me with my best friend. A few years after they broke up, we got together again. Of course it didn't work because even though there's a spark between us it's not enough to keep the fire warm. So the romantic relationship turned back into a friendship one. And now he lives together with one of my other best friends (yes when they started dating, he was called the group whore). He was one of the people who was lucky enough to be in my innercircle of friends and got to go with me with the Millionaires weekend.

30. Where was the furthest place you traveled? Which is farther from Georgia?
Brazil sounds further than the States but I've been to LA and San Francisco, but it isn't. So that's the furthest I've been. I want to go far away to the East as well (Brazil and USA is west) and my dad said he's going to take me to China one day.

32. Do you like mustard?
If it's in a dish.

33. Do you prefer to sleep or eat?
Sleep but you can wake me for (chocolate) ice cream

34. Do you look like your mom or dad?
Definitely my mom. Relatives who are getting old call me by my moms name, thinking that I'm her.

35. How long does it take you in the shower?
Depends on how much time I have. I can have a quick shower within 5 minutes. But if I have to wash my hear it's alreay 20 and if I have the time it's 30.

36. Can you do splits?
Nope. And I never could.

37. What movie do you want to see right now?
In the theatres? No idea. I want to see Twilight but I thought that I wanted to see another movie as well.
And if I could just pick on out of the collection: fred astaire movies (top hat, shall we dance). They still haven't come out on DVD yet in the Netherlands :(.

Well...why not, another missing question.

39. What did you do for New Year’s Eve?
I went to a friends house until 12 and then we hit town. Was fun!

40. Do you think The Grudge was crappy?
I'm not a fan of the chinese remakes but I've actually seen this one. It was okay, but I had a protective arm around me for the "scary" parts.

And a few more disappeared.

43. Was your mom a cheerleader?
No, we don't have cheerleaders in the Netherlands (well...we do have some pro's but not at school and stuff).

Spooky, another missing question. Where could it be?

45. What’s the last letter of your middle name?
I have 2 middle names, but they both end with A.

Maybe together with question 46?

47.How many hours of sleep do you get a night?
I always try to get 8. But that never works. Tonight it's probably going to be 5 or less.

48.Do you like Care Bears?
I think they are cute.

49. What do you buy at the movies?
Nothing because the movie is already waaaay overpriced and so are the sodas. And since I don't like soda and drink water. I'm not going to pay for that. Why could I pay €3,00 for a zip of water when it comes out of the tap for free.

Do you know what's absurd when I go partying? Water is more expensive than soda. And soda is more expensive than beer. And even beer is still expensive. But don't they want to stimulate designated drivers?

50. Do you know how to play poker?
Yes. It's fun when we play for fun with some friends.

51. Do you wear your seatbelt?
Always and when I'm driving, I'm not leaving before everyone is buckled up.

52. What do you wear to sleep?
My pj's

53. Anything big ever happen in your town?
What do you call big? The take over of the company where half my city works? Or the double murder a few years back?

54. Is your hair straight or curly?
Straighter than straight. To get my hair in a ponytail, I lay down on bed and let gravity help me.

55. Is your tongue pierced?

56. Do you like Liver and Onions?
If the liver is in a form of pâté, okay. But I don't like onions, shrudder.

Hey question 57, do you know where the other missing questions are?

58. Do you like funny or serious people better?
Funny, but they have to be serious when needed.

59. Ever been to L.A.?
See question 30.

60. Who is on your mind right now?
My best friend, I told her that I would be at her place 10 minutes ago. Oops.
I'm going to go. Complete the rest tomorrow.'s actually a few days later than tomorrow. But he, I didn't have time, I had to celebrate my first birthday party.

61. Any plans for tonight?
Mondaynight is tv night. It's the only night that the channels air my (fave) shows. First my mom and i watch grey's anatomy, then we move to bones, while we are recording Eli Stone (it's just the second episode but we want to know if it's any good so that's why we tape it for another day), and then we end with Men in Trees. Only a few more episodes before that one ends. Then it's off to bed.

62. What’s your favorite song at the moment?
Funhouse by Pink (I just got her new album) and Should have said no by Taylor Swift (no we don't know her in the Netherlands but I came across her name when I was looking for something else, so I just downloaded the album and it's not that bad).

63. Do you hate chocolate?
Not exactly.

64. What do you and your parents fight about the most?
About my school. We see eye to eye on it but school always messes up. Remember that I had handed in an application for Scotland (see internship rant) and that the placement office would introduce me the same day? Well...I got to school and went by the placement office today to see if they had any news. The lady was Did you hand anything in after Brussels. And I'm like Euhm...yeah for Scotland. And she was Owyeah I'm going to send it today. ARGH! But then I told my dad and he was angry with me that I didn't make a real fuss about it. And I know I could have screamed and shouted in there, but those ladies are just so stupid, nothing won't help.

65. Are you a gullible person?
If I don't know the person, I'm suspicious as hell. But when it comes to friends, 'm very gullible. Once an ex-boyfriend (still a very close friend) was talking with one of the friends about his dog. And I'm like "what dog". Exbf says "Mine dog". "You have no dog." "He's afraid of people, he's in the garage everytime someone visits." "I don't believe you. You don't have a dog." Then he calls out to the mother of the friend he was talking to "[name], do I have a dog?" And she replies with "Yes, bobby." I was stunned. I'd been there so many times. And still went there regularly but I'd never seen the dog. And everyone tuned in that the ex bf had a dog. So guess what? I believed it. And so did a few others. When it was his birthday (4 months later), we still believed he had a dog. And went to the garage to check. Of course the dog wasn't there. The exbf told him the dog was with his brother in the attic, and the brother was sleeping so we couldn't go up. Another month later I started dating the guy again. And when I stayed over, just before I fell asleep he told me "bobby doesn't exist, he was mine dog was I was little, goodnight." ARGH!!!

66. Do you need a boyfriend/girlfriend to be happy?

67. If you could have any job what would it be?
A dolphin or orca trainer at Seaworld.

68. Are you easy to get along with?
Yes. But you have to be on my good side. So if you're working with me on a project for school. You better work, because then I'm the best friend you have, if you don't, watch me growl.

69. What is your favorite time of day?
Nighttime, because I'm either partying (fun) or sleeping (also fun).

70. Are you a generally happy person?
Yes, most of the time.

All questions are answered!

Internship rant

I know it's Thanksgiving in the States, but it's not overhere. So I don't have to be thankful for everything and I can complain. And I need to complain about my school's placement office and my quest for a placement (internship).

Last schoolyear we had a seminar in April about our placement this schoolyear (from Feb-June). Since it got me exited, I checked out the companies my school has been in contact with, since there were no vacancies yet. And I found a nice cruiseline in Australia and 2 hotels in USA. The cruiseline would publish a vacancy probably around June so I had to wait. And I had to wait to contact the hotels as well.

What I really wanted was to go and work for Walt Disney World (I'm a sucker for Disney). But the placement office said that I couldn't apply for Disney because they would only have front office jobs for me and I needed to do my placement in a back office position. But maybe the international office could help me. The international office sends me to a different education (I do tourism and he referred me to leisure). I e-mail the person of Leisure Management, he forwards me to a co-worker. Who doesn't e-mail me back. So I walk across town (half hour walk from my schoolbuilding to his) to see this guy in person. He walks me to a different person. (Did you already lose count?) She tells me that I would have to transfer to do the Disney track, because only Leisure students can do this. But I don't want to do Leisure, I only need a name. Well...they can't give me a name because that wouldn't be fair to other people (euhm...then give that name to the people who ask for it, probably not a lot of people), but she would discuss it with a disney person she had a meeting with next week, but I needed to send her a reminder. I sent her an e-mail the day before the meeting, and she said she would ask. But since she was reluctant when I spoke to her I didn't get my hopes up that she would actually ask the disney person). So after the meeting it took her a week (and 3 e-mails from me) to tell her that it was impossible for me to do my placement at Disney. Thanks for the help, not!

So June came and still no vacancy for Australia. I went to the placement office and they said if it's not there yet, we will probably receive one during the holiday. Since that cruiseline would be my first choice I couldn't contact the hotels just yet.

The summerholiday came and passed, and still no vacancy. So when school started I went to see the ladies of the placement office again. Well..maybe it will be there at the end of september.
At the end of September I was tired of waiting and told them since the vacancy still wasn't there, I would like to have the contacts for the hotels. I got an e-mail with the contacts of the hotels and another e-mail saying that I could contact the cruiseline as well. Couldn't they have told me that sooner? I'd already been waiting since May!

I e-mailed the hotels and the cruiseline. After a week or so I get a response from the hotels. One said that they had a vacancy right now but not in February. And the other said that the period was too short. In my application letter I had told them that it had to be at least from Feb until June, but that I could stay until August if that was necessary.
I hadn't heard from Australia (I still haven't).

Meanwhile there were a lot of vacancies on the school's website but all with Touroperators. And that's not the sort of company I would like to work for. I made an appointment with a lady of the placement office to see if she could help me (I was being too hopeful). She told me that she would contact the cruiseline, a resort in Fort Lauderdale and something in Canada. And that I could really look at the vacancies and find something. So I found EF Switzerland, not very interesting but hey a girl's gotta have something. I wrote my application letter and send it to the placement office. They told me that they had heard from Australia that they are interested in an intern. I was like Why didn't they contact me since I had applied for the internship. School hadn't heard from Canada or Fort Lauderdale (sorry if I write it wrong).

I was debating on which one to choose, Switzerland or Australia. In the end I decided on Switzerland, just because I know that it's closer to home and that friends will visit me and stuff. So I handed in my application on Oct 20. School sents it to Switzerland on Oct 27 (don't know why it took a week) and tells me that I am one of the two candidates. After a week and a half I hadn't heard anything yet. So I went back to the placement office and they said that it can take at least two weeks. So I waited (again) and after three weeks I still hadn't heard anything, and the placement office hadn't either. I just mentioned it was between me and someone else right? And they tell me no we've send 3 candidates (where did that 3 person come from?)
In the fourth week I was looking at the vacancies again and I saw an interesting one (finally!), a Congress and Event company. But what happened, the deadline was the day before. Since I know that the placement office takes a week before they send the applications, I asked them if I could still hand mine in (just in case I attached my letter). No response. I e-mailed it to another placement office worker, no response. On Monday, I get a repsonse: I just heard that Switzerland choose someone else and I'm going to introduce you to the Congress company. I was happy since I liked it more to work at the congress company than at the company in Switzerland.

The same day I get a response about the Congress company. They have already filled their internships. Euhm...sorry aren't you supposed to know that?

That night me and my dad look at the left over vacancies, none are interesting. And I can't apply for a lot of them since I don't speak some languages fluently. I can speak Dutch and English fluent, and I can speak Spanish, French and German at tourist level (maybe a bit more French and Spanish). So I've printed out 5 vacancies that are suitable for me within Europe (I'm not going to the middle of nowhere in South America, a student was killed on his way back from his internship in Guatemala). One in Scotland, two in Rome (same company, same daily tasks, just different department) and two in London.
The next deadline is going to be Dec 12, and since I was sick and tired of not having arrangement my placement yet (been doing this for 6 months) I was going to make a top 3 (you can hand in 3 applications at a time but they still don't introduce you at the second company before they have heard from the first). Since Rome would basically the same application I went to the placement office to ask if I could just hand in one application and that the company could place me where ever they want. The placement office lady tells me that there are now 3 positions at the company in Rome, all the same but different departments. And that I can hand in one letter. But if I wanted to go to Scotland (that would be my no.1) she could discuss with her co-workers if they could still introduce me since I was having bad luck and Scotland wasn't that popular (wow finally a little help from their side). And they would if I handed in my application letter that same day. So now I am waiting to be hearing something from Scotland.

Another thing you guys need to now. The placement office is open from 12.00 till 16.00 on Monday Tuesday Thursday and Friday. They are there on Wednesday but they have appointments and meetings. And on Friday the ladies that are from my department have the day off (grrr..those parttime workers). So that also caused a lot of irritation, since I had only classed on Wednesday and Friday. And if I had class on a different day it was in the morning and I had to wait hours before they opened or I had classes from 11.00 until 16.00.

This turned out to be a long post. Sorry that I bored you with my rant on my placement office. But I was up to my chin of frustrations.

Wednesday Weirdness

It's time for another round of Wednesday Weirdness (the ranting will have to wait)

1. What are you thankful for this year?
Im thankful that everyone around me is still in great health. That I'm still going to school. That I have a way more fortunate life than a lot of people. And I'm thankful for so many things more.

2. Since some of our participants are not in the US, what do you think about Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving is the same as Christmas. The whole family gathers, you eat too much, most of the time you eat turkey. But at christmas there are presents.

3. What is your favorite part of the holiday/ your least favorite.
I'm a non-US. But I would hate to do the dishes.

4. Mashed Potatoes or Sweet Potatoes?
Baked potatoes?

5. Do you own eating pants? Describe.

6. What is your favorite thing to do with the Thanksgiving leftovers?
I wouldn't know. But for christmas people keep eating until everything is gone.
I would bring it to a homeless shelter if there would be one near.

7. Who are you most looking forward to seeing? Least?
I see my family too often as it is.

8. Do you go shopping on the day after Thanksgiving?
Not applicable.

In the Netherlands we have a lot of roundabouts. For instance, if you go to the highway from my house, you come across 6 roundabouts. And those aren't the only roundabouts in my town.

The local authorities like to place "nice" things in the middle of the roundabout. We have a few covered with flowers (very lovely in Spring), and some with art.

In one city in the Netherlands the local authorities decided to put a house in the middle of the roundabout, that makes one turn during the day (just like the earth revolves around the sun).

The house has been the topic of a lot of conversations since. It started with the millions the thing cost to build. And it was built by amateurs. Then it stopped turning but because it moves so slow, people only started the notice after a few days. Then men were running around to get it to turn again.
Although the house isn't that big, it's in your view of the roundabout. And it draws attention so people don't notice the other people on the road that much.
No one is living in the house and the house isn't decorated. in the newspaper, there's a new thing. Someone drove onto the roundabout and into the house. Why? Because she didn't like the thing? I don't know.

All I know that they've paid waaaay too much money on that thing, that could have been invested in so many more useful things. Leave the roundabout empty, that's more useful.

Yup, I'm in complaining mode. And tomorrow I will rant about my internship or the lack thereof.

Everytime I start a computer, it doesn't matter if I'm at a schoolcomputer or my own, I go to my blog and check if there are updates on the blogs that I read. I always do this, even though I was planning on spending the little time I had on school.

Even now I am at blogger when I am supposed to be doing research about the history of planes (I got a course called aviation management), and find out my personal highlight. Well...since I don't know anything about airplanes just yet, I'm going to take the most obvious: the invention of airplanes. Two wrongs may make a right but two wrights make an airplane.

Do you know what kind of airplanes you have flown with? I can name the airline companies but I can't name the aircraft. I've heard about Boeing, Airbus and stuff but I can't define just by looking at the plane what it is. The other day a classmate, who wants to major in aviation, asked me what kind of plane I'm taking for ass 2, she was still deciding between Airbus 380 and a 777 (I think that's boeing). For me that was still Chinese.

Hopefully I will know more after today. That is if I get time to dive into the stuff since it's my dads birthday and even though the party is next week (together with mine, we don't want family over the floor every weekend) people are still dropping by. Sigh ... I hear that the cooker is finished.

Dumb company

You have to watch this:

tele2 commercial

It's a commercial from a telephone company.

So you only have sheep working at your company? Not a good move. I don't know about where you live, but here (the Netherlands) if you are called a sheep it's not a very good thing; you're dumb (to say the least).

What do you think about this commercial?

Wednesday Weirdness

I'm sorry to repeat myself but

Check out Wednesday Weirdness

1.) Have you ever taken your clothes off for money?

2.) Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Both. I like to get up at a reasonable time so you have the whole day to spend. But I do like to party every now and again.

3.) Do you take any kind of medication daily or regularly? If so, what?
Some ibroprufen for my headaches. Which sometimes can be a few times a day for a week or once a month.

5.) What are your favorite comfort foods?
Chocolate. Chips. Chocolate chips ;).

7.) Have you ever seen a "donkey show"? Would you ever be interested in seeing one?
I have no idea what a donkey show is.

8.) On a scale of 1 to 10, how gullible of a person would you say you are?
7. I'm very gullible. Once an ex-boyfriend (still a very close friend) was talking with one of the friends about his dog. And I'm like "what dog". Exbf says "Mine dog". "You have no dog." "He's afraid of people, he's in the garage everytime someone visits." "I don't believe you. You don't have a dog." Happy Wednesday!

Wednesday Weirdness

Check out Wednesday Weirdness.

1.) When was your last visit to an emergency room? What happened?
19 June 2006. I was with a friend at a sort of barn-party. And then one of those big guys jumped on my foot while dancing. My foot was trice the size. I thought it would be okay (it was 3 am) but the next morning (or well later that day), my brother took me to the emergency room just to make sure it wasn't broken.
I still can't wiggle my toes on that foot.

2.) Who do you look more like: Mom, dad or another relative?
Mom. Sisters and brothers of my grams think I'm my mom.

3.) What sounds annoy you?
The sound of the speaker on the train station. Everytime I hear that thing my train is delayed, grr.

4.) What are three movies could you(or have you) watch(ed) over and over and still love?
Cinderella. I've watched it so many times as a kid in Dutch. Yesterday I watched it in Spanish, trying to improve my Spanish, but afterwards I was singing the songs in Dutch. But I've seen the movie a dozen times in English as well.
Other Disney (animated) movies
Back to the future.

5.) Do you ever wish you were someone else?
Yes, but not really someone else, just a better version of me. Or superwoman, so I could fly ;).

6.) What do you think of when you think of Paris?
Eifeltower, van Gogh (Eventhough the guy's Dutch), louvre, Da Vinci Code, Arc d'Triomphe, my paris weekend in June, and so much more.

7.) What' s the last sporting event you watched?
Oj I think it was soccer. Last weekend I was watching a soccer movie with Robert Duvall and Michael Keaton if that counts.

8.) What do you think about sexual Role Playing?
Wait till I've tried it out. Then I will have an opinion.

Project results

YEAH!!! We kicked ass!

Got the results back. Got a 9,5 (out of 10) on the product plan and a 7 for the presentation (I just hate being in front of the class), so that makes a final grade of a 9 :D :D :D.
The grade for the product plan was the highest in class. So I guess we kicked ass :D.

Happy Thursday!

Ridiculous exam

No Wednesday Weirdness today, at least not for me. Didn't feel like playing. But I wanted to tell you about my idiotic exams so still a post on Wednesday.

I had to make a product plan. Remember the question about a "de-stress" holiday? Well...that product plan. Yesterday we had the presentations and they count for 25%. But the teacher was very optimistic about our plan and the presentation didn't go that bad (I like to talk, but not be the centre. So I can talk from my seat in class but I had being in front of the class). We'll get the results tomorrow.

Last Friday I had a topography exam of Europe and the countries adjacent to the Mediterranean Sea. But not like London is the capital of England. No, we had to know about beach holidays, mountain destinations and city trips. Furthermore we had to know the capitals of the European countries, the size of surface and the population, which countries the country is adjacent to, the languages they speak and the currency.
But since this was an extra exam. You had to sign up for it. And you didn't have classes for this course and I only wanted to go just in case I fail my spanish. So I almost didn't study. I read the first chapter we had to read, the headings of the other chapters, and for the fun of it I checked the capitals of the countries.
I passed, big time. And all the studying I did was too much. I could have passed this exam on common sense.
One of the questions was What is the capital of Portugal? hahaha I have multiple choice? Are you kidding me? (For me this was on the same level as what is 1 plus 1) And then the next question was In which Italian riviera does the Dutch Royal family spend their summer holiday? How am I supposed to know this? It was the Toscan Riviera.
Where is the Nobelprize handed out (for lack of a better word)? I knew where it was because someone I know visited it around the same time. But before I only knew it was in Scandinavia. So what would it be? Paris? Zagreb? Amsterdam? Or Stockholm? Hmmm France, Croatia, the Netherlands. So I guess it must be Stockholm since that's the only capital of a Scandinavian country.
And the rest was just on things I've heard of seen. Did you know that I got the Where is the Guggenheim question by watching Dawson's Creek? Just ridiculous.

A final word needs to be said on the US presidental elections. Yeah Obama! McCain would just have gone on and on and on like Bush. And now my uncle stays in the States. Not that I don't like him but he's just tiresome. And if McCain had won, he would have moved back to the Netherlands (he was 6 or something when he moved to the States with my grandparents).

Happy Wednesday!

Some millionaire weekend pics

Wednesday Weirdness

Let's get right to business and start Wednesday Weirdness. Check out their site and play too.

1.) As an adult, do you do anything for Halloween or is it jut another day?
It's just another day. We don't do halloween.

2.) Do you ever dress up for Halloween? What will be your costume this year?
See previous answer.

3.) Have you started Christmas shopping yet? When do you usually begin?
I already started the lists. But I'll leave the shopping until December, because if my family wants something they go to the store and get it.

4.) Do you look people in the eye when talking? Does it bother you when people don't make eye contact during conversation?
Yes I do look people in the eye but not the whole time. It bothers me when people don't make eye contact but they can swift their gaze once in awhile because otherwise it looks like they are staring. And that makes me uncomfortable.

5.) What excuse do you usually use when you want to take a day off work for no real reason?
I don't. I do take days of work to go shopping but I've asked for them.

6.) How often, on average, do you find yourself thinking about sex per day?
No idea. Not a lot.

7.) What company makes your favorite brand of shoes? What makes them your favorite?
Comfortable sneakers, so that can be nike, puma, oasics. I would like to find a shoe brand that has comfortable heels. Shoes with heels never seem to fit me. They're half a size too big or when I get a half size smaller my feet can't get in. Sigh!

8.) Do you ever save alcohol bottles once they are empty?

9.) Do you enjoy musicals?
Yes :D. I'm going to an operette next week (sort of a musical).

Who is a millionaire?

I am! Or well I was this Saturday. :D

Friday I came home from school around half past 3. And then a lady from Samsung calls me (again apparently since it was the same number of those missed calls). She asks me if I bought a samsung blabla phone and entered for a contest of the millionaire feeling. Yes I did. that case, you have won this weeks price. WOW! I thought that there was one huge price at the end (and my confirmation said that the winner would hear about 4 weeks after closure, so that would be in November). But apparently there was one every week. And I had won this weeks :D. And it was tomorrow! (so Saturday)

Me and 9 friends, yes I could invite that many friends. We would be picked up with a limo and then go to Slot Zeist (is sort of a castle) for a luxurious 7 course diner. And then the limo would take us back home.

I started calling some friends immediately. Of course they would join me.

Then the girl from Samsung called again. She couldn't get ahold of the limo company but she did find out that the price also included a stay over at a hotel near Slot Zeist. Okay that would be fine too :D :D :D.

Because it would be a private! dinner we could decide ourselves how we wanted to be dressed.'s too fancy to go in your jeans, but we could have done that, so we dressed up all fancy.

Because everything went so fast I hadn't had time to check the website. Luckily I didn't because now everything was so much more spectacular, we just didn't know what was coming.

At 5.30 on Saturday the white strech limo drives by. My whole street is already watching outside, for whom is this limo. As soon as we're settled in the car, the drives opens the champagne for us and we're on our way.

People can't actually look into the limo but we can see out. And we saw a lot of faces stuck to their windows to see if they could get a glimpse of who was in that car. We :D!

Then we drive up to Slot Zeist. You have stairs that lead to the front door, and on those stairs are a lot people in suits. We thought it was just the personnel. It was but it was our!! personnel. I got flowers and was the Cinderella at the ball. I could seat my friends, like you sit there and you there (i could get used to that ;)). And then we each got our own butler. So awesome. The food was delicious. Normally there is at least one course that someone doesn't like (with my parents I sometimes go to a 5/6 course dinner), but that wasn't the case. It was all superb!

Then we walked to our hotel. And the rooms were big. The hotel was completely full so we couldn't have a room all by ourselves. were all couples so that wouldn't be a problem. But who would want to be alone in a hotelroom? When we entered my room (they'd put our luggage there) you first had a dinning area, then a living area. And in another room there was the bedroom with a bathroom (big one).

The next morning we got up, got breakfast. And another white strech limo was outside. He even had a red carpet. The whole hotel was glued to the windows.

And about an hour later we were back home and the millionaire experience was over. But it was great. And I read on the internet about the other winners. And they were all smaller groups. Two went to a diamond factory and they could spend 500 euro but they could only experience this with one person. I had 7 friends (well...not everyone is available at the last minute) who experienced this with me. I was the richest girl in the world.

So that was my weekend. How was yours? ;)

It's time for: Wednesday Weirdness

So I wanted to post about my trip to Vlieland last week. But just I haven't found the time. Next Wednesday is the deadline for our "de-stress" project so then I will have time to post, if there's anything worth posting.

The project is coming along great. Yesterday we turned the content upside down. It wasn't logic that you would first calculate the price you ask for a product but in the next chapter you have to do the promotional activities. And the costs of those activities have to be calculated in the product price. So we changed it around, completely. We were like euhm...I don't know what should be in this subparagraph, well... leave it out, this looks more like marketing than it does for analysis, okay let's put it in the marketing section.

And with changing everything around we now only have a few things left to do and we probably only have to cross the "t"s and dot the "i"s in the weekend.

Next Friday I'm going to do an exam I haven't studied for just in case my Spanish falls through (hey, I have a knack for numbers not for languages and then missing the basics isn't helping).

Okay now it's time for

1. Is there a particular birthday that you are dreading (ex: 40th) why?
Fortunately not. The first "scary" birthday is more than 7 years away.

2. What is your favorite birthday memory?
I can't remember a lot, but I know I was very young. I came down the stairs on my birthday and opened the door to the living room and there it was my very own Barbie house.

3. What was the best birthday present you ever received? The worst?
I've gotten so many good presents.
The worst? aunt and uncle saying the present has been ordered/it wasn't in yet/it's not your real birthday yet so you'll get it then/it's on its way and then never getting the present. I don't mind not getting a present, but don't tell me that you got me a present but it's not there yet. With St. Nicks they gave me and my cousins a bag (very ugly and very expensive thing) and mine was broken. They would give me a new one. I was 16 then I'm turning 23 this December and I'm still waiting.

And if they did this to my brother as well or my cousins, it wouldn't be a problem. But my brother got a weekend Barcelona with his girlfriend. ARGH!

4. Frosting roses: Love them or hate them?
Don't know what they are.

5. Do you like when people make a big deal out of your birthday, or do you prefer a quiet or no celebration?
Somewhere in between. Last year I wanted a "quiet" birthday party. When the day came I had to get standing tables to have room for everyone. It was so much fun.
I don't like it when people make a big deal out of my birthday because I don't like surprises when I know a surprise is coming.

6. Surprise parties; Good or Evil?
Good if I don't know about it. Evil if I know they are planning something but I can't figure out what.

7. Bonus Question: Over at Casa ASM, it is traditional for the birthday boy or girl to get carte blanche in the bedroom that night. Who and/or what would you choose for birthday bedroom carte blanche?
Surprise me.

Wednesday Weirdness on Thursday

For the project I was away for a few days. And thus missing Wednesday Weirdness on Wednesday.

Normally when you are in the Netherlands and you drive for a few hours, you're not in the Netherlands anymore. We are just too small. But I figured out that you can still be in the Netherlands after 5 hours of travelling. First almost 3 hours in the car, then waiting for the boat and then 1,5 hours in the boat. We visited Vlieland (that's one of the Wadden islands above the Netherlands). In the same time I could have been in Paris! And Vlieland is soooo boring, so it's perfect for our project.

Well....let's get down to Wednesday Weirdness.

1. If you could only eat one fruit for an entire year and that fruit would magically be in season and ripe that full year, which fruit would you choose and why?
Only one fruit. Euhm....strawberries, no nectarines. Because when they are ripe they are sooo delicious.

2. What is something that makes you sad?
The World

3. What would you do if you came home from an extended vacation and found that someone else was living in your house?
I would probably freak out and then demand that they would leave at once. Or otherwise call the cops on them.

4. What US President, alive or otherwise, would you like to have dinner with?
I don't know. I'm not an American and I wouldn't even know who I wanted to have dinner with from our Royal House (well..maybe our future queen and her sisters, they're 5, 3 and 2 at the moment and so cute).
I've given it some thought and I think I would have dinner with Churchill, don't know why. Or with Bush (doesn't matter which one) so I could bash his head in.

5. What is your opinion on multitasking while driving? (Reading a book or work documents, changing clothes, fixing hair, applying make up, shaving your face, et cetera)
Keep your eyes on the road!
In the Netherlands it's too busy on the road to do multitasking in the car. Because if you don't pay attention for just one second you're on the back of the car before you.
And even if it wouldn't be so busy I think you shouldn't do anything while driving, except for paying attention on the road.

6. Do you ever multitask while driving? If so, how often would you say you are guilty of it?
I just don't. If I have friends in the car we talk. But that's not multitasking. Women speak all the time, it's natural.

7. Do you tend to be early, on time, fashionably late or LATE to work and work related events? Do you tend to be more or less punctual for non-work related events?
I'm early/on time for work (events) depends on traffic. I'm less punctual for non-work related stuff but still almost always on time. For dates, meetings with friends and stuff I'm on time. If there's a birthday party I'm half an hour late. But then I'm still one of the early birds.

8. What is a quirk your significant other has that you would define as "cute"? If you have no SO, what is a quirk you find cute in a potential SO?
He behaves like a gentlemen. He doesn't open the cardoor for me. But he opens doors. Always picks me up if we're going somewhere, even if he would just ask if I could drive so he could drink. He doesn't drink because of me when he has to drive. He only does this for me. Yes I know he should never drive while he'd been drinking, but try to tell him that.

Wednesday Weirdness

Check out Wednesday Weirdness.

1.) Do you think you're approachable?
I think I am. I'm not scary or anything.

2.) Out of the two, would you rather be able to predict things before they happened or be able to read minds whenever you wanted to? Why?
Read minds, defenitely read minds. If you already know what is going to happen then you will never be surprised. And if I could read the minds of boyfriends, wow that would make life so much easier.

3.) Have you ever kissed, fooled around or slept with an ex significant other AFTER you were already broken up?
Guilty. Remember 3...4 x a charm. Another story about him is evolving.

4.) Do you believe dreams are your imagination running wild as you sleep, your subconscious showing you what's really on your mind or something else entirely?
Nope. I would like to think that your dreams deal with the day you had, or that you can deal with things because the "raging" has already been done in your sleep. But research has shown that nothing happens in your sleep.

5.) How often do you use cuss words? Does your use of cuss words vary on your moods or situations? I censor myself. I bleep. Like WTBleep. Or bleep what just happened.
I used to use the word shit but that was it. Yes I'm a good girl :P.

6.) Do you ever purposely lead people on so you can get what you want? I probably have. And I probably would do it again. But it depends who I have to lead on or how much I value the thing that I want.

7.) When was the last time you did something you told yourself you wouldn't do? What was it? I said 3x a charm and then I gave the guy a 4th chance. I really didn't want to (but maybe I did).

8.) If you could meet one musician who is no longer alive, who would it be?
You have to give me time for this one. I'll come back on it later.

Another Wednesday (Weirdness)

So I've been absent on blogger for a week. Have been checking most of your blogs.

I've been so busy on the project. For a country as small as the Netherlands (we have between 16 and 17 million people) a lot of money is "lost" on stress-related illness. To give you a number: € 6 billion (so that's about 8/9 billion dollars) a year is spend by the government business companies on stress-related illness. Between 150.000 and 300.000 people a year call in sick because of stress. Out of every 100.000 persons who get unemployed insurance (don't know the English name for it) 1/3 is in there because of stress.

Done with the facts. Here's Wednesday Weirdness, I'm loyal. Are you?

1.) Have you ever purchased an item of clothing and intentionally worn it with tags on it so that you could return it the next day?
No, I haven't but maybe I would if I had a fancy party to attend from someone unimportant (for parties of friends I would just buy the garment).

2.) Would you rather be late to the party, or the first person to arrive? Why?
Depends on who is throwing the party. If it's someone I'm comfortable with, I don't mind. If I want to have a chance to talk to the person, I would even ask if they need any help preparing. If I don't feel like going or not a lot of people I know are there I would be a bit late.

3.) When do you usually begin your Christmas shopping?
Sort of now. If I see an interesting present for one of my family members I would write it down. If it's unique I would buy it but if it's more common I would buy it after the first week of December (we have St. Nicolas on Dec 5th). Since my family never knows anything and when they do need/want something they go to the store to buy it. So if I see something now, it is possible that they already have it before December. And I don't want to waste any money, on buying double presents and not being able to return the "old" ones. December is a too expensive month. Luckily it is the month of my birthday, so some money comes in (but I don't get any presents other than December).

4.) What three cancelled tv shows do you wish they’d bring back?
I liked Joan of Arcadia and they left the season with a cliff hanger (duh! they were expecting to have another season). I watch traveller but that was only for 8 episodes, because you guys (pointing at the US readers) didn't watch it (I don't blame you because who wants to be inside during Summer?)
And.....I'm thinking. I liked girlmore girls but it was time for an ending, like Charmed. Dunno what else.

5.) What do you have in your vehicle's glove compartment?
I don't know. The insurance papers in case I hit someone. And the manual of the car. Yup my car is pretty clean. In the door I have a snow scraper and sunglasses. That's it. (Yeah, in the back is the spare wheel and change equipment)

6.) Have you ever donated blood?
Nope. I'm really scare of needles. I know it's between the ears and that a bruise even hurts more, but I'm not letting a needle inside my unless it is absolutely necessary.

7.) Have you ever kissed or dated someone elses significant other? What happened?
No. I'm a good girl :P.

8.) Have you ever mistaken one product for another while in the bathroom and didn't notice until after you used it? (EXAMPLE: Washing your hair with liquid body soap, slathering hand soap on your legs instead of lotion after a shower, et cetera)
Maybe using conditioner first instead of shampoo, I can't remember. Now my shampoo is shampoo and conditioner in 1, soooo easy.

9.) Would you/Have you ever dated someone who had a criminal record?
If I have dated someone who had a criminal record, I didn't know then and I don't know now. If I would...euhm...thinks so. Depending on what his crime was and if he shows regret and got his punishment.

Okay, that was it for today. Happy Wednesday!

Wednesday Weirdness and school

I'm glad I can keep playing Wednesday Weirdness.
I've been doing nothing for school the last few weeks. Because the teacher didn't give us any homework and the project hadn't really started yet. Well....the teacher didn't give us any information for the project and didn't answer any questions. So when we got a plan from last year (they could do 4 months on the project while we only have 2) we figured out that we should have started before the summer holiday to be done in time.

So I've been working my ass of yesterday and today to get a bit on schedule (we've made a very time consuming schedule that will give us the last week free to check everything).

So here goes Wednesday Weirdness.

1. Would you rather join the Ghostbusters to hunt ghosts or join the Sesame Street bunch? Why?
I would join the Ghostbusters just to keep me entertained. Sesame Street is cool to help and entertain children but I would get bored so easily.

2. What is the most you are willing to do to get out of a police officer giving you a ticket?
Depends on the fine. A camera got me speeding, only 4 km too hard. So no police officer to charm and a very small fine. But I would start with being my sweet me, then charm and maybe flirt, depending on how cute the officer is.

3. What popular movies do you find to be overrated?
The matrix. Keanu Reeves is nice to look at but that's it with that movie. And the Lord of the Rings movies are overrated. One is doable. Two doesn't have a beginning or end. And three has too many ends, it kept going on and on and on.

Ow and other movies I just can't watch are apocalypse now (I saw the redux version, ow my an extra 45 min, so 3,5 hours of my life wasted) and Donnie Darko, Jake Gyllenhaal wasn't even cute then.

4. What is in (and/or on) your bedside table?
Euhm....I don't really have a bedside table. I have a sort of bunkbed (a desk beneath my bed), so I have some stuff next to my pillow. That would be a pen and paper, the remote for my lamp (yes I have a remote for my lamp so I don't have to get out of bed, I know I'm spoiled), my phone and a book.

5. Have you ever had or fantasized about having sex with a boss before? Have you ever acted on that fantasy?
Double no.

6. If you had a personal assistant, what would you have them do?
I don't know. I like to do everything myself. So I would maybe ask my PA their opinion when needing some extra info.

7. Have you ever faked static, loss of cell phone reception or anything else on the telephone line to get out of a conversation?
Of course. Who hasn't. Normally I would just put the phone down and then when they call back I would say that there wasn't any reception. Or I just wouldn't answer if I didn't want to talk to the person.

No Wednesday Weirdness

So I wanted to play Wednesday Weirdness, but regarding the questions I'm not playing (not that I don't want to answer them, but not on this blog).

I went to a party last night, which sucked completely. I don't think the DJ had more than one record. The whole time it was like boom.....boom.....boom.....boom...boom..boom.boomboomboomboom..........boom.....boom.....repeat a zillion times. And no difference like a ping somewhere or a boem, nope only booms, argh!

I thought I would be a mess today because of no sleep, but I had a perfect 8-hour night.

BTW I could really your opinion on something. I'm working on a project for school about a challenge holiday trip. And my group is thinking of a de-stress holiday.
So no phones, no computers, no stress, even no transport. The city (small island) we choose has banned cars.
The accommodation would be a sort of spa. Sauna, massages, pool, but also an indoor-activity hall and a gym.

You would have to hand in your cell phone at the reception. Because of course you need to be available in case of an emergency and you can't give everyone the telephone number of the accommodation.

Would you want to visit us?

My life is officially boring!

I finally have a day off since weeks and I don't know what to do. My friends are at school or work, I've already finished the books I got from the library, my parents are on holiday, the dog is also "on holiday". The house is so quiet and clean (of course mom cleaned everything before she went on holiday), and I don't have any homework. So what the bleep am I going to do today?

Yesterday we had our dance performance. It was almost flawless. Well....if you cross out one girl, it would have been completely flawless (I don't know what she is dancing). And next week we can try again but for more people (yikes!). I can only hope that we can have the same standard as yesterday. All the time I was thinking 1 2 smile 4 5 ow my god I'm going to forget something 7 8, but luckily I didn't. The family came at the right moment (only one aunt and uncle, since the parents were already on the plane). They walked in and our group had to perform.

I think I'm going to make the house dirty so I can clean it.

wow! I'm!

I was mailing back and forth with 136. And in an e-mail yesterday he asked me if he could ask me a question, don't be afraid. And I was like I'm used to a lot so shoot. Well....he asked me to a wedding this Friday. wtf! I can handle a lot (the first q a now friend asked me How do you look when you orgasm), but this. I told him off, in a nice way. You can't just ask a girl you don't know to a wedding.

Train flirting

I don't trust the people who live in my city. At least not with my bike. My town has one of the highest rates if it comes to bicycle stealing. And the place most bikes are stolen are at the station. So no way I'm going to put my comfortable bike at the station.
Fortunately my grams lives only a few minute walk away.

This is what some guy thinks too. (We'll call him 136 because his grams lives at 136, where he stores his bike.) I had seen him last year once or twice. But more like he was already leaving the premises while I was entering or the other way around. One morning this week I was fumbling with my keys because I was trying to stand on one leg and with that same leg trying to keep my bike from falling (I had done something to my foot). He said he had it. Then we walked to the station together and into the train. He needed to get out at the next stop while I needed still another 30 min. While leaving he said I have this train every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I told him I didn't.

But I did. My schedule was changed (again) so I was in the train at the same time I was when I met him. He wasn't there. He walked into me when I got back from school. I was leaving the premises while he walked in. He was like So I'm seeing you again this week. And I asked where he was this morning. He told me he was right there but he hadn't seen me either. He then cycled me home (well almost, I don't want a guy I don't know to know where I live), while he does live near me he went well out of his way.

He tagged me later on a social networking site. Some flirty notes have been gone back and forth.
It's just fun, and that's what it stays. He broke up with his girlfriend in the summer break (yup I already knew that in our first conversation, bit weird) and he's over 2 years younger than I am. I'm already bugged when the guy is only a year younger (I can handle the 4 weeks, 3x and I are apart, lol).

But 136 wasn't the only flirt in the train that week.
Last year I had some weird eyecontact with some guy in the train. My friend was on the phone talking to her boyfriend that she couldn't understand him because he was talking to soft and then the next she says is 'you don't have to shout', and I was already reading a funny book. I almost died laughing. The guy was hanging forward to see who was so into her laughing and even when I stopped laughing, he kept checking every few minutes. And we kept giving each other those flirty smiles.

But that was then. I saw him this week again. And it looked like he was looking for me. As soon as I entered the train I spotted him and his face turned into a bright smile. But since I was with a friend I couldn't stop and get a place near him. I'm going to next time I see him. He's so cute. Don't know if his personality is as well, but at least I have something to do for 40 minutes (he gets out one stop before me, but he's already in the train when I get in).

So....that was train flirting. Hope it continues. Maybe I'll forget about 3x. I told you guys that we texted a bit but it wasn't flirty and it stopped. I've send a text but he still hasn't responded, and I don't like to be ignored. He doesn't either but the ball is in his court, he has to make a move.

I'm heading out. There's a party tent and bands playing in a village nearby, and I'm not driving.

first week of school

So last week was a bad week for me blogging wise.

I haven't done much in my last week of the summer break. I was at my grams house most of the week (at least once a day) to make sure that she gets all the care she can get without moving, because moving would just kill her.

I didn't really hear from 3x, I got a text about his first week of school and that he's doing good (it's a competitive education and thus far his group won everything).

School sucks, but hey what's new. The Friday after my return from Bulgaria I called school to make sure that I had the right date for the first day of school. It took 8 people before they could tell me that I would know more on Wednesday. And my question was Does school start this Monday or next? So if you know that we will know more Wednesday that the answer would be next! *sigh*

Then Wednesday rolled along and I checked the schools internet. Nope nothing there. In the afternoon I called again and that no one was available because they were all busy with the planning. Do you know how many people they were? One, only the planner. But maybe it would be there on Thursday, at least that's what the lady behind the counter said.
Of course I check on Thursday. In the afternoon it says that there will be more info on Thursday, euhm...yeah and today is.?? So I check again on Friday morning and now it says that it will be published on Friday at 9 am. It was already 10 and it wasn't there. You just gotta love school. It was there at 5 pm. And they get angry when we're 5 minutes late.

I had Monday off. And started school on Tuesday. The moment the teacher opened his mouth I knew I shouldn't have gone to school. His english is just terrible. And he accused us of our bad pronounciation, while none of us have trouble understanding the other.
To give you a few examples of his english. We have class on Wetnessday. And last year he had male boys in his class. He allowed his daughter to buy an expensive broek (that's trousers or jeans in Dutch).

I'm going to friends and head into town. Post about flirting in the train another day.

Wednesday Weirdness

I'm trying to get back in the normal routine (preparing for school and stuff). So I'm gonna start by playing Wednesday Weirdness. Here it goes:

1. How often do you talk to your siblings?
Me and my sibling both live at home. So almost everyday.

2. How well do you deal when given an ultimatum?
Depends on what the ultimatum is. And what happens when I don't "reach" it. But most of the time an ultimatum rubs me the wrong way, and before person has finished the ultimatum, he/she is out the door.

3. Have you ever dated someone or had a lover who had an emotional or mental disorder?
I don't know. My last boyfriend had a shrink because he has a social disorder. I figured that out after we started dating. He did talk in the beginning.
He explained that he avoided confrontation because he couldn't handle fights. Well...he fougth a lot with the girlfriend before me. He fights even more with the girl he's currently dating. And we never fougth. :S Hmmm...weird right.

4. How do you feel about crossdressing?
As long as it's not my future husband, I'm okay. Do whatever you like people!

5. Have you ever lied about the number of sexual partners you have had to someone? Why?
No, why should I? But I do try to avoid the question.

6. Does your significant other have the same political and religious views that you do? How often do you discuss politics and religion with them?
I currently don't have a significant other. But 3x probably has different views on politics. I'm social, he's too but he wants to be very rich (retire when he's 35, yup dream big), so I guess he would be more conservative. We would/could discuss it but it wouldn't be a problem. But religion won't come up.

7. What sport, if any, do you find to be most boring?
All sports are boring if you are watching alone. I'm not a sports fan of any kind. But I don't mind watching it.
Although I can watch figure skating for hours, I just find it fascinating.

8. Have you ever honestly peed in the pool?
I have never peed in the pool. I have peed in sea.

Happy Wednesday!

I'm back

Hey girls!

I'm back from my holiday and I'm totally relaxed. We didn't do anything at all (excursions were way to expensive), the only thing that I had to do was drag my ass to the poolside and eat. That's life :D.

Only one week left of my summer break before school starts, well...that's what I think. I called school last Friday because I hadn't heard from them since June (and then only to pay tutition), and they couldn't really tell me anything other then I think there will be more known after Wednesday. You gotta love school :S.

Normally we have 6 or 7 weeks off. With me only having one resit and not even having studied for that one, I had 10 weeks off. How relaxing.

When I have gathered all the holiday pics I will post some. Bulgaria was nice, but more like a been there done that. So you won't catch me there again.

Friday, August 08, 2008

Yes! My last day of work has come and gone. I'm unemployed, jeeej. Monday I can step on that plane, know that everything is taken care of and that if something's wrong, it's not my problem.

*deep sigh* what a relieve.

So I can finally sit back and start to prepare for my holiday. JEEEJ! :D. Oj I still have to do so many things, haven't done the shopping yet.

So...if I don't post here before Monday (I probably don't have the time). I'll see you guys in 2 weeks :D.

Bulgaria here I come!!

Wednesday, August 06, 2008

Wednesday Weirdness post below.

We all have expectations. Even if we're not supposed to have them.
I wasn't planning on having expectations when I started this something with 3x. But we were texting a lot everyday and now he just stopped or sends one every other day. And that just bugs me. I don't know if he's just busy or doesn't have something to tell (he doesn't text me back when I ask him how he's doing or what he's doing). So does this mean it's over?

He did make a remark on Friday when I told him that I wouldn't see him before my holiday and he was like "of course we see each other". So can I expect a text message on Friday saying What time can I pick you up? like last Friday?

Maybe he's just playing a game because he knows that this would bug me.

But if it would be over, wouldn't he just tell me? He wants us to stay friends, that was one of the things I had to promise before this started (I told him that if he cheated on me and that he wouldn't tell me himself, but I would find out later, that I wasn't so sure because I hate lying). He knows that he just has to be honest.

So I hope that with writing this post my frustration is on paper and I can let it go.

No expectations!

Wednesday Weirdness

I'm game. Are you?

Wednesday Weirdness, The Ex Files

1. When your relationships end, are you the instigator of the breakup or the recipient?
I'm the instigator. I'm just done with being in a relationship and tied down after a while.

2. Do you save things from your ex, or get rid of them? If you save them, how? If you trash them, how?
I don't really have things from ex-boyfriends. We do fun stuff. And I hate begin on pictures so we're never together on pictures. And most of the time I don't put him on the pictures either.

3. Describe your favorite ex?
During our few week relationship 3x is my fave ex. But not being in a relationship with him makes him the worst (explanation in Q6). He's so sweet and the real gentlement (he sort of always is).

4. Do you consider a friend's ex off limits?
Officially, yes. But in the past me and my bff have exchanged ex-bf's.

5. Have you ever had sex with an ex? Why?
Shocking but yes. We were im-ing and we discovered that we didn't know what the other liked in bed during our relationship. And we just wanted to try if the sex was good if we knew what the other liked. He thought it was great. I was still bored :s.

6. If you had a choice between spending the rest of your life with your worst ex-boyfriend/ex-girlfriend, or your HS Nemisis, who would you choose?
It differs. The worst ex-boyfriend during the relationship or just the worst guy who has been your ex-boyfriend? Because I would gladly trade my worst ex-boyfriend during the relationship with my HS Nemisis, it would only take me a week longer to kill him. It it's the worst guy, then it's 3x. Just because he can annoy me in ways I couldn't handle (I can handle them better now), and he cheated on his girlfriends. And he lies a lot (but not to me 'cause I can read him, just like he can read me). So I would prefer 3x to my HS Nemisis. And I know that after annoying days there's sunshine because we can get along so well. (wow long answer, and I don't think it makes a lot of sense to others than me.)

7. Would you ever create a YouTube video or a website celebrating your exes' flaws?
No. You just don't do such a thing.

Happy Wednesday!

another weekend

How was everyone's weekend?

I went to the woods on Friday evening with 3x a charm. It's strange how we match. I've been around him for the last few weekends. Last week we both had to work and nothing "exciting" had happened but still we could talk for hours in the woods. And when I get worked up or start talking even faster than usual, he gets calmer, and that makes me calm down.

But I'm realistic. I know him now for almost 10 years, and I know him pretty well (we can read each other rather easy). So I'm trying not to get my heart in.

He will go out with buddies from his old school/dorm next week. And then Monday I'm going on my vacation. So probably coming Friday will be our last date as ....euhm.....well what we are for the last weeks. Because I don't know if I'm able to trust him not to kiss other girls. And I don't want to go to Bulgaria, not have a holiday fling (not that I will, but I want to have the opportunity) and then come home to find out that he'd other girls while I was away.
He will probably tell me that I can trust him, but his past speaks differently. We'll just wait til Friday.

Yesterday we (me and some friends) went to see the Dark Knight. It was good! But I'm not sure if it's that good that it deserves the no. 1 position on the top 250 of
But if you want to go and see a movie, this is definitely a must see.

Wednesday Weirdness

Just because I felt like playing. You too?

1. Would you rather be 3 inches taller, or 3 inches shorter than you already are?
Taller. I don't think a lot of people want to be smaller. I'm not that small but if you take those 3 inches off, I would be.

2. What are 3 words that could never be used to describe you?
Selfish, dumb/not bright, slow worker.

3. Have you ever eaten something at the grocery store while you were shopping, prior to buying it? Did you pay for it when you got to the check out line?
Nope, I'm a good girl ;-).

4. If you could have any 3 materialistic things in this world without paying a single cent for any of them, what would they be and why?
- a big house with a pool and a library: who wouldn't want a house, and the library is just because I love reading
- a nice car (silver, sporty, cabriolet maybe?): again who wouldn't want a nice car
- life time ticket for Disney World and SeaWorld: just because I'm a sucker for Disney, orca's, dolphins and penguins.

5. Have you ever fallen asleep or nodded off during sex before?
Nope, I've wanted to, though. I was soooo tired but it just didn't seem right to dooze off. I wouldn't want it the other way around either.

6. What are 3 jobs you’d leave your current job for? If you don't have a current job, just list 3 jobs you would like to have.
Right now I'm a secretary on a Human Resources Department
- working at Disney
- working with dolphins (I never had biology so that's out of the question)
- hosting/planning big events

7. Do you or have you ever answered the phone during sex?
Sort of. When my phone rang we stopped and after the call we continued.
